Cindy Norman has served as the director of the center since September of 2006. Prior to directing, she served as a lead teacher. Cindy has a BA in Sociology and Human Relations from William Penn College in Oskaloosa. Her life long involvement with children is comprehensive. Her early experiences include being a foster parent, working as a teacher's aide, and directing Jasper County's child abuse children's program as well as serving as a children's ministry coordinator in a local church. |
Our two preschool teachers are a talented duo, chosen for their training, experience, and ability to relate well with children.
Our preschool teacher, Liz Harthoorn, holds a college degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and language arts from Iowa State University. She is currently working to complete her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education at University of Northern Iowa. Her education experience includes being a fifth grade teacher for four years in Des Moines. |
